In My Herc Won’t Work, players participate in an interactive serious game that teaches troubleshooting and repair processes for propulsion technicians. Players work through a series of distinct sections, wherein they receive training – via discovery – into the most viable way to ask questions, track information, and arrive at a diagnosis in the least amount of time. The game also requires the player to interview, read and research just as they would in the real world, questioning the same people they would normally do, and using the same research materials as well.
This game was created to meet the training requirement for the rising false positive incidents amongst technical personnel, increasing costs.
The NBCOT Navigator is a portal providing access to and completion tracking for a series of virtual continuing competency assessment tools for Occupational Therapists. BreakAway partnered with NBCOT (The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) to create this tool that allows occupational therapists the chance to obtain points towards their recertification through participating in a series of on-line interactions. The certificant’s profile and responses to a self-reflection questionnaire establish the user’s focus and result in a list of recommended tools for the certificant to take. Upon completion of each tool, rewards and recognition are assigned based on performance, and readings and references are provided as feedback for continuing education.
NBCOT Navigator provides access to online quizzes, case simulations and learning games.

MAINTAINER was created as a cost effective training solution for army personnel learning to operate the launch system for the RQ-7 Drone System.

OT Clinic Makeover is a fun learning simulation that places the player in the position of an employee that has been "promoted" to management of an occupational therapy clinic.
Employees in the real world have this happen more often then you would think, they are not prepared to handle the outcome of this promotion and the clinic suffers as a result, hence the need for the game as a basic primer on what a manager should be thinking about on a day to day and week to week basis.
The game covers budgeting, scheduling and human resource problems that a new manager would most likely encounter. Most of it covers patient scheduling which is a serious problem in the OT world.
Duke University of Medicine commissioned a project to create an multiplatform simulation dedicated to creating a universal method of patient handoff since each medical facility handles handoffs differently and patients were suffering from inefficient processes being used.
The project centers around different patients and medical personnel that would be part of a handoff. Players would plan the handoff and then let the simulation run. Being scored on their performance in planning the hand off.
This project was made for multiple mobile and desktop platforms and was created using a multinational team located in 4 countries.
